Can we create a chemical reaction

We made a gas by mixing a solid and a liquid together 

The solid was baking soda and the liquid was vinegar 

I smelled the vinegar and the food colouring  and the dishwashing liquid 

I heard the clicking of the camera 

I saw the foam of the gas
